I taught English at Woodmont High School in Greenville County, South Carolina from October 1994 to September 2002. The district and I didn’t exactly part of great terms and it’s where I got my first inkling of just how serious and severe the depression I’d been dealing with since I was in my early teens had gotten.

I’ll always remember my time there fondly, however. I made some lifelong friends with one or two colleagues but mostly with students, many of whom are fast approaching 30 now. These are some of the pictures I have from that time.
